Georgia Writing Assessment

The Writing Assessment will provide diagnostic feedback to teachers, students, and parents about individual performance. Students are assigned either an expository or persuasive writing topic.  Student writing will be assessed analytically in four domains: Ideas, organization, style and conventions.  Domain scores are combined to obtain a total score for each student.  Students will be given a total scale score which represents one of three performance levels: Does Not Meet, Meet and Exceeds.
